Empower Community Service Society is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization based in Surrey, British Columbia. We support newcomers, youth, families, seniors, and underserved communities through food security initiatives, mentorship, education, cultural connection, and community engagement programs.
Most of our programs are open to everyone. Some initiatives may be designed specifically for newcomers, students, youth, women, seniors, or families based on community needs.
You can volunteer in community events, food distribution programs, mentorship initiatives, educational programs, fundraising activities, and administrative support. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to contribute and make a difference.
Many of our community programs are offered free of charge thanks to the support of volunteers, community partners, donors, and sponsors. Some specialized programs may have a small fee to cover materials or operational costs.
Registration details are available on our website, social media channels, or through direct contact with our team. Some programs may require advance registration due to limited capacity.
Professionals, community leaders, business owners, and experienced individuals can apply through our SettleSmart Mentorship Program. Mentors provide guidance, encouragement, networking opportunities, and practical advice to newcomers and community members.

As policies evolve, donation receipting will follow applicable regulations and organizational status. Please contact our team for current donation and receipting information.
